Q. My furniture has skinny arms. Do I have to use Furniture Falsies in order for my slip covers to look good?
A. That depends! If the arms are skinny and high, you do not need Furniture Falsies. The height of the arm takes up a lot of excess fabric. Styling a slip cover on this type of couch isn't so difficult. The slip cover arm fabric will pleat itself naturally in front and the ties at each corner will hide excess fabric. In some instances, a slipcover simply doesn't fit without some kind of batting or foam on the arms. In this instance, you would only purchase furniture falsies if you want to create the "round" arm look on your furniture. If, however, your furniture arms are skinny and low (and/or recessed), you'll probably need to use Furniture Falsies if you want to use slip covers at all. Furniture Falsies not only make styling easier, they make slip covers look and fit better. back to top
Q. How do Furniture Falsies stay in place?
A. They're designed to be long enough to tuck into the crevices of your furniture. Additionally, the foam has a rough texture which adheres naturally to your upholstery. The weight of the slip cover also holds them in place. back to top
Q. I have furniture with wooden arms. How can I secure my Furniture Falsies?
A. Your Furniture Falsies should be long enough to tuck in to the space between your wooden arm and the seat cushion. If this is not the case, simply tack, staple or tape your Furniture Falsies to the wood. No one will see it once you've applied your slip cover! back to top
Q. What if they don't work for me? Can I return them?
A. Certainly!..as long as they are in "like new" condition. Simply mail them back to us at LTHome, along with a copy of your receipt and a completed return form and you will be credited in full (minus the original shipping fee) for your purchase. back to top
